Contracts/Purchase Agreements
Puppies will be guaranteed to be free from genetic life threatening health problems for 1 year from birth.  In the event that a pup has a health problem,  breeder will require full veterinary documentation and a second documented opinion  if requested.  Guarantee does not cover things like injuries, mange, ringworm, allergies, stenotic nares, hernias, or any treatable problems that are not life threatening.  Breeder will retain the right to either refund the purchase price of the puppy, or replace the puppy with a pup from the next available litter.
Puppies may be microchipped to ensure identification.  Breeder retains the right to request return of the puppy if genetic problems are found.
To puppies going to pet homes, puppies must be neutered or spayed around 6 months of age.
Dewclaws are removed on all puppies at around 4 days of age.
First shots are given around 6-8 weeks old.  Second shots will be given if puppy is still in breeder's care when shots are due.
Puppies going to show homes may be sold on a co-ownership contract on a case by case decision.

Purchase contract
A buyer may place a $50 hold on a puppy.  This is done to be given priority in choosing a puppy from an upcoming litter, or a newborn litter.  If a certain gender/breed/color is desired, and the litter does indeed have a match for the buyer, then the $50 will go toward the total payment.  A deposit is placed after a puppy is born.
If buyer places a hold for a specific gender/color/breed, and the litter arrives and there is no match, then buyer may keep the "hold" and apply it to the next litter, or the hold, ($50), or it will be returned to the buyer.
Buyer will put down a deposit of $200.00 to be applied toward the total puppy price when buyer decides he/she wants a puppy. The remaining balance will be required at pick up of puppy, in cash, or 10 days before shipment of puppy with a money order or  check, usually at 8-10 weeks.  If buyer is picking the pup up directly, cash payment is preferred.  If puppy needs to be shipped, buyer pays cost of air travel,  (generally $225.00) Breeder will provide crate and necessary products for safe shipping.   Puppies will not be shipped via airplane until reaching ten weeks old.  Certain temperatures are required by the airlines for shipping.  In the event that the puppy will not be able to ship immediately due to weather, puppy shall remain in breeder's care until weather permits shipping.  Breeder will choose air carrier,  usually Delta or NWA depending on buyer's location.
If at any time breeder feels there is a problem with a pup a buyer has  chosen prior to final sale, breeder will refund the deposit.  If the buyer changes his/her mind after 6 weeks of pup's age, the deposit will not be refunded, as a new home will have to be found for the puppy.
If within the first 6 months of owning the puppy, buyer decides he/she cannot care for it for reasons such as major illness, family crisis,or other unforseen issues, buyer must contact breeder via e-mail to discuss the best solution for the well being of the puppy.  If buyer has a home that they can sell the puppy to, then the buyer may do so, provided it is a safe and loving home.  If buyer has not found another home, breeder will try to help find a home.  In the event that the buyer must surrender the puppy before another home is found, the puppy will come back to the breeder, and may not be taken to a shelter.

If buyer has owned the puppy for over 6 months, then the buyer may sell the puppy to another party with no conditions other than the new home must be a loving and stable environment.

Breeder retains the right to negotiate this contract if there are extenuating circumstances on the part of the buyer or breeder.

Breeder's puppies will never be sold to a broker.  Do not buy puppies from a pet store where puppies are often born at puppy mills, sold to brokers, who then turn around and sell them to pet stores.  A good breeder is the best source for a puppy.
